About Clark Street Community Fitness

Everything you’ll need to transform, under one roof.

Our transformation program is tailored to each individual member. You will be paired with an expert coach that matches your style and needs. All ages, injury history, goals, fitness levels and experience are welcome!

Semi-Private Personal Training

If larger group classes are not your thing, but you want your own custom program, semi-private training could be your best choice. With semi-private training one of our trainers will coach you through your custom program, simultaneously with one or two others, and ensure you are moving properly and efficiently and meeting your goals. Beginners are always welcome after completing their On Ramp. Semi-PT sessions are capped at 3 members per training session. 

On Ramp for

Beginners

All new members start with our On Ramp program, four one-on-one sessions with one of our professional trainers. On Ramp begins with a functional movement assessment and body composition screen and includes 4 one-hour sessions where we introduce you to the basics of weightlifting and gymnastics. After On Ramp, you may move into one of our personal training programs or group fitness programs. 

Group

Classes

If you love the camaraderie of training with other likeminded individuals, check out our CrossFit or Sweat classes. Our expert trainers will deliver a world class coaching experience as we teach, see, and correct you in your workouts. Everyone in class will be at a different level of fitness so our coaches will help you modify and scale the workout to your capabilities. Beginners are always welcome after completing their On Ramp. Group classes are capped at 10 members per class.

Nutrition

Coaching

Set yourself up for success. We’ll help you create a plan based on the foods you enjoy. We teach you how to balance healthy foods with everyday life so you don’t put weight back on after your “diet” is over.

Coaches are intentional about pushing you to your abilities while also being conscious about any special scaling you might need. Wow! I never thought I would find myself FOMOing from gym time, but this speaks volumes to the motivating, fun, and challenging environment of CSCF. I have been coming to the group classes for about 10 months and have been improving my fitness little by little, learning new skills, and making new friends. I attribute this to the knowledgeable, helpful coaches and the supportive community. This is a great place for fitness for everyone, no matter your starting point, your physical abilities, or your experience. For me, I used to go to a communal gym in my work building (pre-quarantine) with some group classes for HIIT, yoga, spin etc., so some CrossFit elements were a bit foreign. But after Chicago gyms started opening back up, I decided to give CSCF a try and haven't looked back since! I would highly recommend CSCF!

How Much Are The Memberships?

Memberships at Clark Street Community Fitness vary depending on the individual. Our transformation programs can include group training, individual training, nutrition plans, recovery, and more!  Once we design the perfect program based on your goals and timeframe, we will go over the price.

Do I Have To Have Experience To Workout At Body By Design?

Not at all.  Our gym is perfect for beginners to advanced, and we’re with you every step of the journey!

Do I Have To Commit To A Long-Term Membership?

Absolutely not!  The length of your membership is based on your goals and where you’re at now.  12 and 24 month memberships are NOT client-centric and our gym is all about our members and their success!

I Want To Get Into Amazing Shape, But I’m Scared To Get Started.  Help!

We got you.  We understand getting started is the hardest part.  We’ll take it one step at a time.  Step 1, come in for a “no sweat intro” and have a chat with us.  No working out, no deposits and long term contracts, we’re just going to talk about your goals, that’s it.  If you’re excited about what we talk about, we’ll move on to Step 2.  No pressure, we’re coaches, and we’re here to help.
